Local Action
Carbon Reduction Action Groups (CRAGs)
Carbon Reduction Action Groups are an opportunity for you to get
directly involved in reducing the greenhouse gas emissions that
you are personally responsible for. The aims of the scheme are to:
- establish flax-roots voluntary groups of concerned citizens
who agree to take person steps to reduce their climate change
emissions;
- make members aware of their personal CO2 footprint
and account for their emissions;
- decide on a means to account for the impact of personal emissions;
- promote a carbon reducing lifestyles and activities;
- build solidarity between the growing community of carbon conscious
people, and
- share practical knowledge and experience for lower carbon living.
