Current Policy Work
DRAFT NEW ZEALAND ENERGY STRATEGY 2010
The Government intends to replace the previous Government's New
Zealand Energy Strategy (NZES) and New Zealand Energy Efficiency
and Conservation Strategy (NZEECS) with replacement strategies which
favour fossil fuel exploration and use. The Climate Defence Network
is concerned about the effects of these planned policies on greenhouse
gas emissions, and we encourage you to make a submission on them.
Submissions close 5.00pm Thursday 2 September 2010.
